Pointless tag, but yeah, guitar hero hate is unnecessary. I don't play it very often anymore but it introduced me to some great bands, and no, no one plays it so they can imagine they are playing a real guitar, it's just a fun game, and it's extremely good while drunk playing with a bunch of friends. Also, yes I play real guitar far more often.

Actually i hate the exposure that bands recieve because of the game, i also hate kids who think they can play real guitar because of guitar hero, i also hate kids who think they're metal heads because they play metallica songs on GH, i also hate the guitar cus it looks fucking dumb, but i love playing in the drums, since i can't afford a real drum kit (i'm a guitarist, i spend my money in gear for my guitar) it's really good just to have fun jamming with my favorite songs on drums

"Spoiling bands"? How about "giving bands a rush of massive exposure"? There are tons of songs I would never have found without Guitar Hero, and it's fun as hell to play. I want all my favorite songs in Guitar Hero because it lets me appreciate them that much more. I don't know enough about guitar to "hear" all of the notes without seeing them on an Expert GH chart.

I really enjoy playing Guitar Hero but the thing is I don't want my favourite artists in the series. I used to love the song 'Bulls on Parade' by Rage Against the Machine but hearing it over and over when playing Guitar Hero really destroyed it for me
