Electro
Modern electronic music was pioneered by the German musical group Kraftwerk in the mid 1970s. In 1982, Bronx-based producer Afrika Bambaataa released the seminal track “Planet Rock,” which contained elements of Kraftwerk’s “Trans-Europe Express” and “Numbers.” “Planet Rock” is widely regarded as the birth of electro.
