Dance-punk

The term Dance-punk (disco-punk or punk-funk) is used to describe a punk and electronic dance music style of music pioneered in the late 1970s - early 1980s and associated with indie dance music. Sonically, disco-punk and dance-punk are similar and are usually based around fast disco four-to-the-floor rhythm, a bassline, rich guitar and synthetizer melodies and either punk- or disco-styled vocals.
