Atmospheric Metal or Post-metal is a music genre, a mixture between the genres of post-rock and heavy metal, with roots in progressive rock, progressive metal, shoegazing, and industrial music.     @WasNotWhyNot: Of course the tag doesn't imply that "metal music outside has no atmosphere". Don't take it so literal. It's the name of a style, not a "physical trait". Or do you also believe that for example Black Sabbath - Paranoid is classical music, or perhaps Folkearth plays big band music?
