British punk

The United Kingdom has played a huge role in inventing and popularizing the punk rock sound and the punk movement in general. British punks disdained the overproduced blandness of BBC music and took inspiration from the pub rock movement, the transgressive theatrics of glam rock, and the classic rock n roll of the 50s.
