Don't like the Big Labels shoveling their crap in your face everywhere you go? Band together here and show your support and distaste of corporate marketing that appeal to the mindless masses...

This is the successor group to Anti-Numetal but more openminded in terms of genres accepted and with a wider approach when it comes to the manifesto/rules. While this is NOT a metal group. If you have a large amount of non-mainstream music of any genre, you are welcome to join.

To applicants: Excessive mainstream artists in the charts are frowned upon, so please gauge your % at this website and try to be under 15%:

One cool math. If you get all the amount of humans on the world and div by the amount of bands on site discogs right now (2951290) you would have 2415.9 listeners to each band, assuming listeners are equally spread between bands. Assuming each listener have 100 bands, he really like, at average, you get 241590 listeners to each band. The most listened band here (radiohead), has 4219564 listeners, a band with 241590 would 5.72% obscure (5.72% of radiohead listeners).

Also the website I said on the last post ( ) skew the data to try make to make most of the artists have a score of 50%. As he says "the probability distribution function of the obscurities of users should look roughly like a normal distribution (most people are average, fewer people at the extremes). " This is not what happens in reality, in reality most "people" (underground artists) are at the extremes compared with mainstream artists. This one is better

Remember when people listen to underground stuff, they pick their artists from a way extreme larger selection of stuff than the mainstream list, this means that people will end with different stuff. The only stuff they will share will be the most famous stuff that there is a higher chance of people knowing it. This means that this group chart means nothing, dont need to care about it..

Hey guys, got a new external DAC i'm about to burn in using the ancient rites of the audiophile. Do forgive me if a few more listened to tracked creep into my playlist, if i stray from the accepted gifts the gods of fidelity will strike me down where i stand.

Remember to use the last 3 months data. Is more realiable to mainstream tests (and some other test). There is a explanation to that, but I am not in a mood of posting it here right now. Maybe later.
