Real metal for die-hard metal fans. No death/metalcore/nu-metal assholes. All legitimate forms of heavy metal permitted. Probably not a group for people who don't worship 80s metal. Listening to Sarcofago is mandatory. Fuck off the false.

Your thoughts on Face of Evil from Sweden? Bought the S/t CD a few weeks ago, Violent Death/Black metal. Haven't heard better shit.

Venom heavily influenced bathory and quorthon is a dumbass for thinking people would believe that shit. he was probably outside their window at a sleepover writing down all their secrets it's so prominent

I always wondered why Quorthon tried to deny the Venom influence when it's absolutely crystal clear just from looking at the cover of the s/t and its song titles, without hearing a single note. Hello, by the way. Thanks for letting me in.

That is what Quorthon said himself... He always tried to make it seem like Venom was not really an influence for some weird reason though.

alright, this weekend is going to be nice. First eindhoven psych lab with various psy/space/whatever bands and then straight after that eyehategod.

Going to see Judas Priest tonight. Honestly, I'm not as excited about the gig as I probably ''should''. Not that impressed with the set list since there's like 4 songs from the new album which I've heard like once and wasn't impressed. At least they're playing Victim of Changes and Beyond The Realms.

Punk my ass. : D There might be just a tiny Discharge influence to be found, but that's it.

Honestly, Bathory's self-titled always sounded most like satanic punk to me.

I wouldn't cast Nifelheim in the black/thrash genre. To me, they sound just like the first wave of black metal (Bathory, Tormentor) which derived a lot from thrash. I think a band needs to have more thrash than that (ex. Desaster, Cruel Force) to be called black/thrash. Moving to another subject, I've been possessed by Goatlord for the last couple of days. Unique black doom metal and no other band in the same genre has come close to the filth they released.

Aura Noir is one of my favourites, mainly up to and including The Merciless. Yeah, Johnny Touch rules! Dishonourable Discharge!
