13 jan 2014, 19:57 av miotailtmilidhLast week I posted up a blog “We’re waiting for the dinosaurs to die out” discussing the problems I feel the British and Irish metal scene face in relation to the media (magazines and radio) and festival promoters (Sonisphere, Download, Reading/Leeds).
8 jan 2014, 14:12 av miotailtmilidhAn article that I've been needing to get off of my chest for a long time!
1 jan 2014, 17:24 av miotailtmilidhI decided I was spending far too much time sharing music on Facebook to friends who really don't appreciate my taste. So to be a little bit more constructive, I have created a new blog for the new year!
27 nov 2013, 06:54 av miotailtmilidhI am one of these people who gets sick and tired from hearing the same metal bands names being mentioned over and over by the music media and by fans of the genre. It irritates me, especially living in the UK, where fantastic talent is constantly missed or overlooked because the same names are constantly being brandished about. I think that is very evident by a comparison in music festival line ups from the UK and the rest of Europe, where the fans seem to be a lot more open minded to different and new artists while still embracing their music heritage.
With co hosting on the radio last year, it meant that I had an opportunity to support less well known music and support the underground while trying to engage fans of the genre. I am always looking for new ways in which to expose good music to more people, so I have started (since last night) to post a music video on Twitter every night of bands that I think should have a little bit more recognition than they get. I would LOVE to see other people that use Twitter doing similar with artists they like. I'm using the hashtag #MetalBandANight and encourage those of you who share my passion to join me in highlighting talent that is all too often overlooked!

You can go for a basic ‘This is *band name* and you are listening to Mosh on the Radio’ to something of your own creation. 10 seconds maximum and no swearing (as it is live radio for all ages to listen to).
If you want to take part, have a clip ready or want more details, then email us at:

We are hoping to do this as a weekly addition to the show with an aim to support and expose upcoming metal artists of all sub-genres.
