Church of the Friendly Ghost presents it's fourth annual NMASS (New Media Art and Sound Summit) beginning Thursday, June 14th until Sunday, June 17th, 2012! Concerts! Art Installations! Crowd Madness! Pomp! Workshops! Dance Parties!
Here's the list of performers and artists:
Jandek (with Nick Hennies, Lisa Cameron, Brent Fariss, Jon Doyle and Travis Weller), solo performance by Daniel Higgs, Hieroglyphic Being, Flying Turns, Not Breathing, Immersion III, Diana Mino, Alex Keller, Mongoose, Epistrophy Arts presents the Thing with Joe McPhee, Paper Hats, Girl Band, Ralph White, Cinders, butoh and shadow puppet performance by Vanessa Rossetto + Private Lives Puppet Theater, Thomas Helton + TJ Borden, Skullcaster, Kai:Ros, Video art from Sam Sanford and Rebecca Carlisle-Healy, Projections by Sandy Ewen, videos by Paul Baker, films by Scott Stark and Experimental Response Cinema, Steve Cossman with a program of experimental animation featuring a rare 16MM print of Len Lye's 1958 classic Free Radicals,Filmmaker Jeanne Stern and a "surf music re-interpretations" cycle combining visual artists with musical ensembles created specifically for the summit, Thomas Fang's Circuit Bent workshop- 'Get Bent 5.0', homemade Ice Cream and Popsicle from Ice Cream Social, indie games by Juegos Rancheros, Quick Draw Photo Booth plus additional artists to be announced soon.

Church of the Friendly Ghost is a 100% volunteer run nonprofit cultural arts organization headquartered in Austin, and founded in 2003. We operate under the sponsorship of Salvage Vanguard Theater, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with support from the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin, and the Texas Commission on the Arts.
