Well, brother, in fact nazi-tolerance is the same way political as nazi-preaching and let's be honest all that bands have kinda damaged reputation in that terms.. Thus Bob's just doing the same that you're claiming - bashing politics out of scene, though I'm sure lots of people would like him just to keep out of fest as he did earlier in 90s in order not to perfom with Section 5 or whatever else it was.. Anyway it's a pity I didn't do it to Blackpool this year and afraid won't have a chance anymore.. :(
Well that's Rebellion over for another year !!! Fantastic now need a rest. Highlights for me were Gimp Fist, Last Rough Cause, The Agitators and Booze & Glory all great sets. Lowlight not for the music but Fat Bob of Hardskin is beginning to sound like a music Fascist - Baker's Dozen, Close Shave. Pressure 28 and Superyob Fascist bands? Keep your scummy politics out of the scene FB. The only Fascists around are those who try and tell us what we can and can't like. Oi ain't Nazi, Oi ain't Red but it is Proud Oi Oi Oi
My inner punk was satisfied beyond all expectations. Never seen so much respect at a festival. Didn't matter where you were from, who your favourite bands were, if you were working bar or spent 98% of your time in the smokers alley or spent the entire festival wearing Justin Bieber merchandise - there was no petty bullshit arguments, just a good laugh had by all. There was a FEAST on display no matter what your personal tastes. Can't believe I hadn't even heard this even took place until this year.
Hope it's just as good next year.
