TRIPPY WICKED AND THE COSMIC CHILDREN OF THE KNIGHT
A rolling, thundering mass of infectious riffs, distorted gut-busting bass, tripped out vocals, relentless beats and hairy sweaty faces twisted with grins and gurns. Trippy Wicked & the Cosmic Children of the Knight cut a groove deeper than the ocean abyss.
If you don't already know them (is that even possible?...) here's an excellent review of their album launch back in March that will give you a good idea of what they're all about:
Enos are a stoner/space rock band from Brighton UK.
Formed in 2008 by Chris Rizzanski and Sparky Rogers after the split of their previous band, Dollar Sent. The line up was completed by George ‘Bungle’ Cobbold, previously of Killing Mode and Locust Resin, and Sean Cox.
The band's first record 'Chapter 1' is out and it is free to download here:
Chapter 1 tells the story of the last space chimp, Enos, and is accompanied by a comic book written by Chris Rizzanski and with artwork by Paul Stanczykowski.
"Speeding at you like an out of control train, XII Boar blast their way into your skull with ear-splitting leads, sonic riffs, fuck off vocals and a sweet southern groove. Combining Motorhead’s swagger, Sabbath’s downtrodden doom, and the swinging crunch of C.O.C, these Hampshire lads will tie you down and fuck shit up."
Originaly formed as Nable in 2006, but after a few small recordings and line up changes the band changed its name to MOTHER CORONA in 2008.Formed by friends David Oglesby and Lee Cressey in the small Oxfordshire town of Didcot. The bands music is "a melting pot of Heavy- Distorded- Sludged out raw Grooves, Melodic Psychedelia and Spaced out Landscapes". They were joined by bass player Robert Glen that following summer. The band released its self titled debut EP on there own Button Mushroom label in the summer of 2010 to positive reviews from local rock press. Devolution mag said that "mother corona are one of those secret bands that everyone love's, well know this dirty little secret is out! While Heavy planet said "With sleazy grinding basslines, a fuzzy guitar tone and chunky rhythms, UK band Mother Corona have created an impeccable slice of psychedelic stoner rock madness! The band started to gig locally and make themselves a name on the local underground rock scene sharing stages with bands like Desert Storm, K-lacura, Undersmile, and many other local names.
In 2011 the band continued to gig up and around the country, and in may 2011 started recording there debut album "Out Of The Dust", due to be released in early 2012.
"Drifting in and out of a trippy smoke-filled haze, Mother Corona manage to write some pretty damn catchy tunes...(Heavy Planet)
