Moose Factory brings you the best in unusual music and this time we are very excited to present our first free festival with some of the best in unusual and improvised music (featuring Fulborn Teversham, Bilbao Syndrome, Hot Head Show, Stian Westerhus and many more) at the George Tavern, 373 Commercial Road, Stepney Green (also close to Limehouse, Mile End and Whitechapel stations) for FREE! Doors at 12.00 noon and music all day long until midnight. Wow!
Fulborn Teversham is Seb Roachford’s (Polar Bear, Acoustic Ladyland) song project super-group featuring such Alice Grant (Leafcutter John), Nick Ramm (Cinematic Orchestra, F-IRE Collective Large Ensemble) and Pete Wareham (Polar Bear, Acoustic Ladyland, Final Terror).
“You could describe it as post-jazz or prog-punk or whatever, but basically it’s just properly good, strikingly original music made by people with impeccable taste.” (BBC)
Bilbao Syndrome brings together some of the best players in Leeds (Matthew Bourne, Chris Sharkey, Colin Sutton, Chris Bussey) fronted by ring leader Andrew Plummer in a Meshuggah style death jazz extravaganza.

Hot Head Show represent a ska manifestation of Captain Beefheart tendencies.

Stian Westerhus joins us from Norway for a solo set that is bound to thrill.

Metamorphic is a relatively new sextet fronted by pianist/composer Laura Cole and comprising of such luminaries as Kerry Andrew (Juice, DOLLYman), Chris Williams (Led Bib), Tom Greenhalgh (World Sanguine Report, Rude Mechanicals), Paul Sandy (Hey Negrita), and John Martin.

Porpoise Corpus is the contemporary improvising group led by Monroe Transfer’s Dave O’Brien that features Tom Challenger (Herbaliser, Red Snapper, Jeremy Warmsley), Guy Wood (Hubcap, Sion), Jonathan Bratoeff, Tom Ward, and Spencer Brown.

Halal Kebab Hut improvise following leader/composer Simon Katan’s algorhythmic instructions using junk objects.
E:Laine is an accomplished vocalist that represents the meeting point between jazz (she studied with Norma Winstone) and avant garde (she’s worked with Jesseye Norman). She will be performing with pianist Leon Michener.
Matt Calvert (Three Trapped Tigers, Full Fat) brings his trio with Adam Betts (Three Trapped Tigers, Full Fat, James Taylor) and Ben Trigg (Elton John, English Chamber Orchestra, Arctic Monkeys). .
Roshi, a Welsh-Iranian singer/songwriter, will be performing with Gagarin (Nico, John Cale, Pere Ubu, Raf & O).

Vultures is an ambient experimental improv group featuring Dan Beattie, Matt Chilton (Astrometria), Will Connor (Atomic Crash Down, Post Abortion Stress) and Anthony Donovan (Murmurists).
Little is known about Yuri, but she makes beautiful and beguiling music and she will start the day.
