I always loved this song, and album. It was "purposely" cheesy, and just U2 cutting loose and having some fun. Fans who hate this song need to lighten up a bit. If anything, it's awesome to watch just to see the Edge dance.
I was disappointed when they went the "techno" route, as it was already getting played out by '97 and because I loved Achtung, Baby! so much. But this record grew on me, especially when travelling anywhere
i know u2 remain popular with a lot of people, but (this and a few other songs excepted) i tend to find their stuff after Achtung, Baby! pretty unlistenable. i asked for How to dismantle an atomic bomb for christmas a couple years ago on the strength of that one rockin radio song and was disappointed. alas, things change... for me, The Joshua Tree will remain a perfect album.
