@ BLACKENEDPLAGUE Tourniquet has always been a bit corny, with perhaps the exception of the very first album. But that's one of the things that make the band unique, as much as it annoys me sometimes as well :D
I was a huge Christian metal fan in high school. My favorite bands were Bride, Guardian and Tourniquet. Guardian sold out in the mid-90s and then broke up. Bride stayed together way too long and continued to release album after album, each worse than that last. Somewhere in the middle of that mess was about the time that I realized my musical heroes were human after all. It was with that skeptical attitude that I approached every Tourniquet record from 2000 and on, especially as member after member left the band. How could I take them seriously when they didn't even have a permanent guitarist (and they still don't have a permanent bassist)? But it's time to give Ted Kirkpatrick and Luke Easter credit. They continue to put out albums, I continue to assume they can't possibly be any good, and they continue to be great. Their newest one, Antiseptic Bloodbath, is no exception. Much respect to Tourniquet, clearly the best Christian metal band of all-time.
Kind of annoyed I didn't do the kickstarter now...but I guess I will have to wait for my CD to get here. I understand that they are rewarding those people, but it seems unfair to the rest of us that they won't even release one track!
You can learn some details, including album art, about the new album by visiting my blog or their Facebook. The new album is going to be called "Antiseptic Bloodbath" and is hopefully going to be released some time this summer. I can't wait!
I didn't even know these guys were a Christian band 'cause the first song I heard was Immunity Vector (aka the greatest song ever).
Seems odd for a Thrash Metal Christan band.......
But hey, good music and it spreads the word.
