Move to cool indie NY borough Brooklyn … check.
Currently wooing the indie scene and voted as one of the highlights of the SXSW festival and nominated in NME's current fave band's, 'It's Frightening' by White Rabbits are the latest indie-cool offering to come out of the states, and by and large they are quite good. (I always take NME's recommendations with a huge pinch of salt, with their fickle, sensationalist treatment of bands)
The uptempo songs at the beginning of the album have just enough character to separate them from the myriad of other indie bands out there, partly down to having two drummers keeping the arrangements polyrhythmic and interesting. Also present is the pleasing addition of a piano to the mix which is used to create a menacing undertone or haunting effect to some of the tunes.
