Fev 1 2012, 19h57 por LemonDemonLoverSo Lemon Demon has been my top artist for basically forever, but They Might Be Giants have been steadily gaining. They've been within ten tracks of one another for about a week now, and I figured, having attended a They Might Be Giants concert just last week, it was about time.
So I listened to Ana Ng off Severe Tire Damage.
Then I listened to Ana Ng off Lincoln, and it was done.
Next step: cleaning up artist positions 4-6!
Jan 17 2012, 20h35 por patteroastYeah, I think I like this enough to keep it up for the other artists that I have multiple albums by. I started with Barenaked Ladies, and now I'm moving on to They Might Be Giants. I don't have the kids' albums, but I did recently finish my collection of all the other studio albums.
They Might Be Giants (1986):
Favorite Song: She's An Angel
"I met someone at the dog show/she was holding my left arm/But everyone was acting normal/so I tried to look nonchalant/We both said, 'I really love you'/The Shriners loaned us cars/We raced up and down the sidewalk/twenty thousand million times..."
Runners Up: Don't Let's Start, Hide Away Folk Family, Put Your Hand Inside The Puppet Head
Least Favorite: Toddler Hiway
Favorite Song: Ana Ng
"Make a hole with a gun perpendicular/to the name of this town in a desktop globe/Exit wound in a foreign nation/Showing the home of the one this was written for..."
Runners Up: Mr. Me, Purple Toupee, Cowtown
Least Favorite: You'll Miss Me
Jul 3 2009, 18h08 por hablamosnicoSince I never write anything really music related (or at all) here, I decided I would. So I'm looking at my top 15 artists according to total listens on my profile page. Let's go. (And I may actually be indecisive or pick multiple for some artists, heh.)
1. Warren Zevon - This is a hard one. But up top are definitely Desperados Under The Eaves, Jeannie Needs a Shooter, Raspberry Beret (better than the original), Poor Poor Pitiful Me, and I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, to name just a few—I like all his stuff! (You wonder why he's my top played?)
2. They Might Be Giants - Another hard one (there will be a lot of these). I'll say Ana Ng, Climbing The Walls, Birdhouse in Your Soul, New York City, Take Out The Trash, Snail Shell, Sleeping in the Flowers, etc. There are waaaay too many. All of their stuff is good. Definitely my favorite band of all time.
3. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Let me start off with saying that I hate people who just label this band as 'Jimi Hendrix. …

Set 25 2008, 1h02 por CantDecideANameThey Might Be Giants
I had some of their more well know songs that i really liked, such as Ana Ng and Particle Man. I had known they made theme songs also and liked those. Since i had only a few of their songs, i felt i needed more. So i got all their stuff. Played it chronologically, They Might BeGiants to The Else.
I fell in love with the first album because its so weird and unique. Then Lincoln continued that trend and i also fell in love with that album. When Flood came along, i really didn't like it as much as the previous two albums, i knew the hits on it, but it was different from what i was expecting, it seemed less odd to me, and i enjoyed the oddness of the other two albums. Over time i enjoyed it though, i like it more than their debut now. Apollo 18 i liked right off the bat, and the whole Fingertips idea, making a whole bunch of small/shorts songs so you can put it in shuffle and have tons of possible playlists for one album.
Jun 26 2008, 17h17 por bowser7241. How does 2 make you feel?
Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box - Puts me in a wonderful trance of sorts. The sound effects and Thom Yorke's voice just intertwine so perfectly.
2. To whom would you sing/play 24?
2 + 2 = 5 (The Lukewarm.) - I'd play it to our government. Then maybe (not) they'd do something about all the problems in the world.
3. Is there a way 15 could make you happy?
Trippy Green Skull - Always makes me happy, no matter what. Dan Deacon is the happiness wizard.
4. Would you dance to 25?
South Carolina - I'd dance for money to try to replace my dented bike.
5. What's the best thing about 8?
Numbers - EINS ZWEI DREI VIER FUNF SECHS SIEBEN ACHT
6. Does 20 inspire you?
Autobahn - Hell yes. It inspires me to take a long scenic drive in the country and forget how much gas I'm probably paying for.
7. Does 12 remind you of someone you know?
Please - Yeah, but I'd rather not say. :P
8. What's your favourite line from the lyrics of 9 (if there are any lyrics)?
Abr 22 2008, 0h01 por AnaAerophinaIt's true, I'm leaving for NYC on a choir trip on wednesday, will arrive thursday, and will be there till late sunday, maybe. :D So, that's where I'll be if you're wondering.
In other news, my sister and I are making a CD called "The Most Awesome CD That Ever Lived". We realized that whenever we're together, we can almost never decide what music to listen to that we both like. So, on this CD, every other song will be a song I like, and the other songs will be songs she likes. if you want, you can play a fun game called 'guess which songs are the ones Ana likes'. It should be a cinch for anyone who knows me. :D
Here's the tracklisting:
1. They Might Be Giants - Ana Ng
2. Fall Out Boy - Golden
3. Tally Hall - Spring And A Storm
4. T-Pain - Bartender (feat. Akon)
5. The Monkees- Pleasant Valley Sunday
6. Shop Boyz - Party Like a Rockstar
7. TMBG - Thunderbird
8. Taylor Swift - Our Song
9. Barenaked Ladies - Straw Hat and Old Dirty Hank
Abr 19 2008, 23h35 por JuttmanHello there. It is I. I figured will make a journal about my all-time favorite albums. Well, let's get started!
This is one of my favorite albums, and depending on when you're asking, my favorite Beatles album. While Magical Mystery Tour was the first Beatles album I heard, this was the first that really got me hooked. It has some of my all-time favorite songs, like I'm Only Sleeping and She Said She Said. At this point in their careers', the Beatles were in full-force psychedelic pop. From the opening studio banter in Taxman, to the fade out on Tomorrow Never Knows, one of their best songs, their is never a dull moment.
The Fury of the Aquabats
The Aquabats are really great fun. It is really the only ska band I really love. Their music has great energy, and it is fun and enjoyable for all ages. It is great music for rocking out to, as well. It is, for lack of a better phrase, "totally HxC!" The opening song, Super Rad, is one of the most famous ska songs of all time. …
