This was a great gig. I'd never seen PUSA live before (I missed them the last time they were in Manchester when they played at the Academy in 2005), but I finally got to, and they are easily one of the best live bands I've seen. They're real maestros when it comes to crowd interaction, and you just couldn't help but like them.
The sound guy deserves a nice big pat on the back 'cause the band sounded amazing throughout. The vocals were crystal clear, the overall sound was punchy, and the kick drum and bass notes boomed right through the floorboards.
The crowd demographic was quite diverse; some people looked liked they hadn't been born when The Presidents of the United States of America was first released, whilst others looked like they could've bought Kick Out the Jams on release day.
