i think they changed the spelling intentionally so that someone who can speak other languages can understand... for instance "tira me...." makes sense to someone who can speak French.. or Italian... and aranas is also similar in greek.., so for me it made sense from the beginning...! but it would've been hard for me to understand if it was "tirame..."
Spaniards would say "Tírame a las arañas", while we Argentines would say "Tirame a las arañas", cause we don't speak Spanish, we speak Rioplatense. Well, at least in Buenos Aires and around. Maybe "me" it's meant to be read like the english word, and not a part of "tirame" (which means "throw me"), who knows... I don't think they do.
