There's a thief on a summer's night
Across an ocean
Who sees another's life fading away

  • The last great Savatage song! Outstanding!
  • Cantations cantations cantations cantations cantations cantations cantations cantations
  • Absolutely immense. This is Atlas shaking his awful burden, shifting the weight of the world so both his shoulders suffer equally
  • "Sleep beneath my dreams!!"... best song ever? [2] Well that's at least in the Top-30 best rock/metal songs ever made.
  • Epic!
  • Brilliant.
  • A masterpiece.
  • The best song of Savatage! It's breathtakingly operatically awesome all the way. But especially the ending canon singing gets me. "Cantations, cantations, cantations... / Never listen to the crowd before me, never listen to the self ordained, never really wanted to believe it anyway / Time is fading, night is calling, I am on my way / Turn around, turn around, turn around..." all playing at the same time sounds just unbelievable in my opinion! Too bad there aren't many metal musicians (that I know of) that utilize canon singing, at least nearly this well; only Tobias Sammet mainly springs to mind.
  • fuck yes. what a great song.
  • Definitely the best song on 'Poets and Madmen'
