anyone interested in the correct history of te
he delta blues should be aware That Tommy Johnson preceeded Robert by close to 9 years and created the sound that Robert became famous for, as well as the sold his soul to the devil story. I love Robert, but credit where it is due, Tommy Johnson's 1928 delta sessions are the strating point to it all.
One of the early Bluesman who brought it. I put him up there with the likes of Lead Belly, Charley Patton, Ma Rainey & Memphis Minnie etc. Too many more to name. You get major props in my book for being among the first.
Dig Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters? There is a new super boggie blues band from the very Thames river..
