I somewhat understand the point Crusheer is making, after digesting it a couple times I do feel 'there's more in the skeleton of this track' but I also see how this record is very much like a single slap to the face than a combination of impacts like other Reznor records so I can leave it and feel comfortable with the tracks being as raw as they are.
I think Trent should have took more time when creating this song. In my opinion, and anyone can disagree, the ambivalency between the angry and sad parts is not really working. I'd much rather hear a ballad.
The Slip is uderrated because fans are too spoiled by incredible Nine Inch Nails awesomeness. The Fragile and With Teeth are my personal favorites, but The Slip is still MUCH better than 99% of everything else on this planet.
