I will admit that in a perfect world, Niege and Noktu would still be writing together for this band; The clash of their two styles is what made their first full length so interesting and memorable. However, we can't really expect Noktu to stop Mortifera because Niege left...it was Noktu's band to begin with. I am a Celestia fanboy, so admittedly, my taste is biased. In the fact that I've enjoyed all the output I've heard from this band, even when they are merely sounding like a more melancholic/ mellowed version of Celestia.
@AliveAsTheDead - they probably act like that because everything Mortifera released afterwards has been boring trash, - Noktu could have pared back the material by a quarter, kept the strongest riffs and made either one good Celestia or Mortifera album out of it.
Why do people have such a hard time getting over the fact that Niege was briefly in this band? Sure, the two songs he wrote that ended up on the first album are probably the strongest of the whole tracklist; But anyone who really knows the history and material of this band will know that from the beginning this was a Noktu work, meaning it sounded a lot like Celestia. I personally don't see that as a bad thing. Niege made memorable contributions to this band's history, but please...people act like he was the band.
