Fuck house music, why does everything have to eventually pick up a house beat? Their first two albums were so inventive and unique, I certainly hope this Decade/Dolphins sound is just a brief deviation from their sound

"Decade is a vast improvment. Excellent album." other way around for me, Decade blew, Dolphins amazed me. Dolphins still sounds like Mi Ami, Daniel's vocals are crazy at the for-front, the synths rip like his guitar did on before and it's all very dubby, despite Jacob being gone. Decades sounds like a standard House/Disco album, Daniel's vocals now sound compressed and behind everything. Why are they turning into just another electronic dance group when they could achieve much higher is beyond me.
Decade isn't even on here! I really hope Daniel starts to focus more on the lush vocals you hear on Bells and Horns, and doesn't just lose them altogether - but still, it's SO GOOD!! Decade should really be on here. I really really love Dolphins though.
Dolphins and Decade are great. They're like post-punk abstractions of dance pop, in the same vein as The Pop Group's lurching, violent funk and PiL's neurotic, cynical versions of disco and dub. I prefer the old sound to be honest, but their new sound is certainly interesting/fun.
