  • i don't like mixes with high low end because it sounds too compressed in my opinion. i want that raw treble shrill that makes it feel like my ears are getting pierced
  • Through what those War Metal, grindy bands have in robustness and compactness of sound lack in intensity and energy. They replace a savage thrill with the drudgery of an oafish and rather dull technique. Those bands lost the sheer thrill and vitality of the screw loose production of mania and frenzy.
  • that's a good point, but i think there are a lot of artists using drum machines that still sound awesome. i'm enjoying malveillance more and more but i'd still like more drums, and perhaps just more low end in general, so that it sounds powerful. perhaps a personal preference, this is why i'll take groups like blasphemy and early von over all those raw treble screaming bm noise bands.
  • Most likely he used a drum machine. That's why they don't sound so organic. Some D-beat bands bring the guitars up in front and emphasize on the wall of noise and the screams.
  • maybe it's the mastering I don't like. i'm listening to consentir à l'absurde and the drums are way too quiet. best recordings from discharge and many bm bands have the drums front and centre, that's what makes them sound good
  • "Hateful and raw d-beat black metal violence from Québec" sounds like the most awesome band ever. hasn't yet made a strong impression on me though.
  • Vaches Sacrées
  • NS Band covering The Ramones? Haha, it's like Skrewdriver covering Louis Armstrong.
  • check
  • Where can I find undies like that
