I don't want to complain that Kaya's been busy but man, I don't think I can afford both upcoming Femme Fatale mini-albums AND Schwarz Stein too gaaargh T_T I wasn't too hot on Freya though so... maybe I will have to wait and see if I even want Noir and Blanche...
I agree on the "not-so-much-of-a-good" choice of songs to include in this album mostly because we got a lot of songs we already know.
Personally to me there is one thing I can say I disliked, but it could be subjective - and that is ''Danse macabre''s English bits. Just...I respect the effort and I'm aware it's not easy, but he could have worked a bit more on the pronunciation.
Feel free to disagree, of course, m only mentioning this because I loved everything else about the song.
v I tend to agree that if you buy all the singles Gothic is a bit of a let down (conversely, if you owned NONE of them it'd be a really decent album! I don't know any Kaya fans who ONLY buy his albums though...). Why he chooses to include all the B-sides is beyond me, it sort of takes away most of what's special about buying singles in the first place. @Neo-Nebula: But at least "Ai-type" of Gothic is available on Amazon now if you are able to buy Danse Macabre that way?
I'm a little disappointed in "Gothic". I already own most of the full songs on the singles, and the few new ones, to me, aren't really anything to get excited about. I got the B-type and am still looking for a way to listen to Dance Macabre (I can't afford Type A, too). I wasn't thrilled with the "Taboo" single, either, nor this year's DVD, so I guess I'm just not liking Kaya's stuff so much this year.
I wonder how he picks the tracklist for each album. He chooses to put an old song like remains of mind on Gothic but doesn't include Taboo? And chocolat didn't appear on an album until the 2012 reissue of Glitter... Some of these choices baffle me a little. Perhaps it really does help sales of the singles though... idk.
Yeah I'm kinda annoyed about that. I bought the B-type CD because I preferred the sound of Tempest over Danse Macabre hoping I could simply download Danse Macabre through Amazon. NOPE! But I could've got Tempest... Now I'm thinking I should've got A-type. Oh wellllll
Is it true that Kaya doesn't actually like to eat chocolate?! How can this be?! Please tell me this isn't true! I imagine him after a concert, relaxing on a big bed covered in luxurious Rococo-style French silken sheets with facial moisturizers on while his toe nails are drying and he eats expensive chocolates from a heart-shaped box! I even put almost exactly this in my Versailles fanfiction! How can anyone not like chocolate???!!!
