Kalafina é um grupo criado pela compositora e pianista Yuki Kajiura, em 2008, sob o selo da SME Records, sub-gravadora da Sony Music Japan.

No final de 2007, a compositora Yuki Kajiura começou a trabalhar na trilha sonora do anime "空の境界不 -The garden of sinners-", do conto homônimo. Fundou então o grupo Kalafina, para cantar as sete músicas que seriam temas dos sete filmes. O single de estréia, oblivious, teve os…

  • Same setlist except Symphonia as the final song. I think I can die happy now, that was one of the best live performances I have ever seen in my life. So amazing.
  • I can practically feel the sarcasm dripping off your post, nDroae. Anyway, setlist for the first gig of the tour is out and I'm hoping it's the same when I see them in a couple weeks time. Koibito and In Every Nothing both included is something I very much hope stays the same.
  • I can understand what you're saying and, true enough, Usumurasaki is one of those songs of theirs that seems to go nowhere, aside from the arrangement showing some sort of build-up (although I don't quite agree with Tsuioku on this one). That's precisely the reason that prevents me from loving it: I can feel something is lacking and it's almost like Kajiura was being lazy (again, IMO, she was lazy with all new songs, but oh well).
  • That's true, but my scrobbles for Kalafina are misleading. You'll notice like all of Consolation have 40-80 scrobbles and there's a couple reasons for it, but I won't bore you with details. In actuality my favorite album is Seventh Heaven. I can understand someone calling Mirai terrible, it's not wildly creative and it's also another type of song they've now rehashed many times too. I do enjoy it, but, again, I know I'm in the minority for that song too.
  • v Fascinating... I see that your #7 most played Kalafina track (with 47 scrobbles) is Mirai, which Seasonreaper keeps saying is "terrible." I wonder who's right! I'm glad that I can't pretend to have good discernment in music and that I'm not a Kalafina fan. Knowing which songs are good seems to be a truly herculean feat in their case, best left to demigods who have the clarity of aural sight to distinguish the lovely from the cancerous.
  • Good album, but disappointing from them. I'm one of the few that doesn't care for Usumurasaki: it's totally B-side material. I wouldn't be shocked if the same people who love that song also love In Everything Nothing, Koibito No..., and Tsuioku. I don't really enjoy those "moody" tracks that go nowhere. It's still better than all the A-sides included on the album, but it doesn't live up to the hype for me.
  • Oh and my vinyl copy arrived today, it's gorgeous.
  • Monochrome is definitely growing on me, a LOT. Usumurasaki was my favourite on first listen and still is, I love it. Gogatsu and Sorairo are still wonderful too. I suppose 4/12 proper tracks being amazing is around After Eden levels, at least.
  • Oh man, Im currently addicted to monochrome, Sorairo no Isu and Usumurasaki! <3 FOTW did a pretty good job, just 2000+ copies and it'll surpass Seventh Heaven. XD
  • Far on the Water is the best album ever <3
