  • they're both different... Akiko's a vanguardist but she's a jack of all trades and she does better at ethnofolk than darkwave, imo (except Raka, this album is genius from start to finish but it's been long since she hasn't released something this inventive and, let's say, Western-friendly, vocally speaking at least.) Juri and Lisa are great, maybe more comfortable to get into for DCD fans. Not really "surprising" for today's standards but it was original at the time it was released, especially for the Japanese goth scene. Don't forget they started out in the 80s.
  • Akiko Shikata drew inspiration from Dead Can Dance, Zabadak and Kuroyuri Shimai, not the other way round. And it's not even obvious anymore, since her latest material is not darkwave, but ethnic folk.
  • Dulukk obviously has no idea how long this band has been around. They may have drawn influences from DCD, but Shikata ripoff? Hardly. Do some research before you shout your mouth dry.
  • shikata ripoff, so dcd ripoff as well
