In the lead up to their Sydney show tonight, I had a chat with the lovely ladies of Seeker Lover Keeper (including Holly!) about the group's origins, playing in churches and offering communion at their shows. http://musicis-mybf.blogspot.com/2011/11/article-heavenly-sounds.html
YO YO YO! I don't know if anyone else goes to Hollys Twitter but listen to this!- "my children's record is almost done. next week I start my grown up record. at this point it's hard to tell the difference." how do you guys interpret that?? does that mean she's making two records!?? one for children and then a regular one too?? Because that would be amazing! i can't wait! does anyone know anything more?
yeah i guess it probably will be too.... but who knows. I would love to see Hollys records here in us stores... she deserves more recognition! I have no problem with ordering cds off line though i've gotten all of her cds through Amazon i believe. Amazon is great for getting cds... they're pretty reasonable and they generally come really fast. I will never buy digital music... it just seems retarded to me... i would much rather have the real thing... having the cd is so much more enjoyable.
hahhaha you should have looked at the track listing. It is a selection of some of her favorite songs which was made for release in Portugal from what i understand. i guess she is becoming pretty popular there ( she has a song on a juice commercial there its pretty sweet... you should look it up haha) the cd must have been to make it easier for people to get ahold of some of her music with out having to getting import cds. I don't think i'll ever get any thing off of itunes... i thought of ordering To Begin With even though i already have all her cds, just for the booklet and album art.... hopefully it has one. The new cd probably won't be out for quite some time now... i'm guessing towards the middle or end of this year....
Oh-MY-YES!! listen to this from Hollys twitter: "I am starting recording for a new album on saturday with tony dupe - in a sandstone church in a wild meadow." I'm so excited! how perfect! "in a sandstone church in a wild meadow." haha I love her!
Saw her live, and bought her 'comic book', she even signed it! Great music, a shame I didn't know her till recently! This girl needs serious attention! (not like a kid with a hammer, but media-attention) x Rj
