I'm rolling down a well worn road
I'm wondering if I'll ever know
If I'll be better than I was before
When I surface through the service door

  • I’ll be down for some time
  • I saw them in 2004 at a bar called The Ranch in Modesto on 9th st. I was only 16 years old I think. I'm glad they got back together, I gotta see them again!
  • Sounds a little bit like #9 Dream by John Lennon. No bad thing.
  • i wish grandaddy, and this song in particular, would get/had gotten more praise.
  • they should have been huge but im glad i was one of the lucky ones who found them .
  • "I got good at saying "I gotta go".Number one at saying "I don't know".But from the stories that I've heard. You humans require more words.Bye,I'm on standby"
  • As beautiful and poignant as this album is... How can Grandaddy's - "The Sophtware Slump" be "miles ahead of the Flaming Lips" when "The Soft Bulletin" cam out 2 years before this record? I know taste is relative but in my opinion both albums are very close in proximity when it comes to shear beauty, emotional magnitude, and occupying a place in the heARTs of thousands if not millions of music lovers who actually know their stuff. Both albums and groups are top of the line in my independently thinking mind.
  • Better than Radiohead? Ha. You're having a laugh.
  • Agree with ahillebr below, Grandaddy miles ahead of the Flaming Lip, Mercury Rev or Radiohead.
  • i'll take this over the flaming lips any day
