Love carried the cross for me
Love counted the cost for me
Although I was hopeless, dying and lost

He carried the weight on his shoulders
of every soul through time unredeemed
but he saw the brilliant promise of life beyond that moment
so He took the cross of death willingly

Though I was a child when I heard it
how Jesus took the wrath of man's shame
but when I saw how my sins were the nails He felt at Calvary
it was there I knew, I'd never be the same
