  • @ 1:02 - Isaac Brock? I've thought so for years, but it'd be nice to get a confirmation. P.S. Tenyeartryst, you must realize that the lead singer/primary composer/songwriter of DCFC is the same for Postal Service, right? So yeah, that's why they would sound uncannily similar.
  • They sound like The Postal Service
  • Remember playing this song on first generation tap tap revenge. good times
  • almost though of something charming to say
  • :)
  • yeah
  • Ba Ba~
  • And if you can say it doesn't put a smile on your face then you're a liar!
  • I can understand Gibbard not really liking it. It does border on cringe, but Death Cab do enough to make it awesome anyway.
  • @funkydory89 yeah. Found this on songfacts: "In an interview with the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Ben Gibbard explained that when he wrote this song, he did not like it. He brought it to the band expecting it to get discarded, but guitarist Chris Walla demanded it go on the album. A good decision, as it has since become one of their more popular singles." I definitely love this song now - it's one of the more extreme versions of the 'happy music/sad lyrics' thing Death Cab does pretty well.
