The Trip is a series that the UK's Family Recordings label has been putting out for a while. They simply invite a popular recording artist to compile a couple hour's worth of songs and pieces that have inspired them over the years. When Jarvis Cocker and Steve Mackey of Pulp released their set this month, it was a no-brainer for me. Finally, a chance to see just what has been turning them on all these years. I listened to the full two hours last night, and it was great.
I found out about this a month or so ago, so I had already checked out a few of the tracks on internet radio, but the only one I had known previously was Rock On. I wondered if that track is a little more rare in the UK than it is here, since everything else in the collection was completely new to me (except for The Human League's version of "Rock 'n' Roll"…

My boyfriend is letting me borrow his laptop so I can have internet in my room. It's fun and I love it.
I haven't been listening to a lot of music lately and I miss it. I don't know what to listen to, I just haven't been in the mood for my favorites or anything. Right now though I'm listening to Celebrity Skin
I heard a song I liked yesterday. It's Rock On and I think the new single by Prince, Black Sweat.
