@anthex whoa Tomb of the Mutilated dot, that's a blast from the past. I wish that forum was around. I only honestly miss it. I had some issues with it over the years, but I actually made amends with the people on there in 2010 (the last year of that forum). Oh here is the FAQ on ToTM.net thanks to Archive.org. :)
Cannibal Corpse did not cover this. Like NH3Maser said, it was covered by a band called Demorphic. I know even more about Demorphic thanks to an informative thread about this on the official Cannibal Corpse forum years ago. Demorphic originally went by the name Razor. They had an album called Prepare For Impalement when they went by the name Razor and Roots Bloody Roots appears on that album. I have the song in my library (I noticed I haven't listened to it in nearly 10 years) listed as Demorphic not Razor. So to all people who have this cover by Cannibal Corpse, change the artist name to Demorphic in your libraries. You'll be scrobbling this: [track artist=Demorphic]Roots Bloody Roots[/track]. I would also go to the suggest a correction option listed above and correct it by putting down Demorphic instead of Cannibal Corpse.
Cannibal Corpse never covered roots bloody roots. This rumor started when someone placed an mp3 of some unknown band playing Roots Bloody Roots on filesharing networks and mislabeled it as Cannibal Corpse. The song you downloaded is not Cannibal Corpse.
