  • He was well prepared, i knew he was paying attention like a rattlesnake does when he's hearin' footsteps tramplin' over his flowers!
  • Would I have married her? I don't know. I suppose. She had bells in her braids and they hung to her toes...
  • Close call... for a little while there it seemed like I was living this song. Poignant as fuck, sure, but not exactly a good place to be.
  • This is quintessential Dylan: mystifying and ancient and immediate. Shame that he's left off tracks this good off his albums, but at least the mortals can still enjoy them on releases like Biograph.
  • sounds like they are taking bong rips in the biograph version
  • yeah this is a really cool ass tune.
  • great song just luv it
  • There are two unreleased versions of this song. There's the live version from November 12, 1980 and there's an undated demo recording. Each version has unique lyrics and both the unreleased versions are great, but IMO the studio version released on Biograph is the best.
  • Could so easily be naff, but Bob pulls it off as ever. Love the piano, too.
