Wouldn't it be a blast to take a renaisance composer forward in time and have them listen to their own songs re-done in glorious digital electronics? They'd be picking up chunks of mind as far away as Cucamunga. Makes you wonder what (fill in your favorite composer) will sound like 500 years from now.
"This song was composed a noblewoman, Countess of Dia, in the middle ages (12th c), in what is now Provence, Southern France. The embellishments in this recording are beautifully haunting. The language is Old Provencal or Occitan language, the romance language that was the basis for what is now the Castilian Dialect".
