The way he combines all these styles though is what has made him such a great producer. He came out of that generation of hip hop producers, like Just Blaze and Kanye, who'd further popularize the chipmunk soul that was started by RZA.

Just bought the album today. I liked the 9th rapping, maybe the worst on the entire album technically speaking, but as a 9th fan that knows the history, you gotta love what the verses are about. I still think Talib Kweli had the best verse on the album, then again maybe Murs or Von Pea for the best verses. Miller's ok for me. Might be my favorite album of the year tbh. I picked it up today & the new Common album was right next to it, lol, actually felt bad for not picking up Common's album, but I'd waited three months for the new 9th already haha.
The Wonder Years would be much better if 9th didnt' try to rap, cause the guest list is phenomenal. Raekwon has never been my favorite Wu rapper but he probably had the best verse on the album. Also get Mac Miller da fuck out of here, his shit's so weak.
