Got back into playing the album Cold Water Music again for one, love the blend of Hip Hop & almost Trip Hop feel, hard to describe based on what I know as of yet. I intend to leave it that way and not over analyze what I hear.
- "Cold Water Music" track itself has no vocals, but you hear a haunting set of strings with some chilled ambiance. Feels like I'm gliding through the streets and stores of a big city without a worry.
Still playing Ready to Die as well, will probably always keep it close by to listen to on whatever smartphone, PC or any other device that plays music that I own. Biggie was one of the realest, can relate no matter who you are or where you came from.
- "Things Done Changed" - "Turn your pages to 1993, ** is gettin' smoked, G, believe me." Some pretty dark, violent lyrics, but Biggie rhymes and has a flow that keeps you entertained and highly intrigued. It's hard to stop playing the album once you start it.
Here's to 2015 - to more music listening and traveling through all the beautiful thoughts and feelings that get triggered in the minds of every one of us.
