Local Bands

  • Local Bands

This is where you can post stuff about Boise's local bands, up-coming shows, and tell me to try to get a band to create a last.fm page...

  • These guys are great and local:

  • le fleur

impossibly good, they're playing a show at the record exchange and a follow-up show at the neurolux on the 4th to celebrate the release of their first album.

    should be a good show

Everyone in Boise should know who Finn Riggins are.

I dig the shit outta Scarf and Mere Cat, too. And those bands are all pretty solid kids on top of it.

Beyond that, I haven't heard much around here that's impressed me lately, but then, I just haven't heard much around here lately.

Sleepy Seeds, Finn Riggins, Youth Lagoon, Seasonal Disguise, Low-Fi, there's more, but my brain isn't working.

Wolvserpent, formerly known as PussyGutt, have put out some very haunting, stirring stuff. Red Hands, Black Feet have a free downloadable demo that shows good promise. Idaho's pretty drab, musically and otherwise, but there are a few gems.
