This group is meant for those who listen to primarily classical music. If you are looking for a more general classical group, feel free to join " Classical" group!

Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th Century, & Modern "Classical" Music

This group is meant for those who listen to primarily classical music, and very little else, or have created a separate profile dedicated solely to classical music. If you are looking for a more general classical group, without limiting your other favorite genres, feel free to join Group Classical. By requiring that our members listen to primarily classical music, we have achieved our goal of a continuously streaming classical radio!

How time flies! It's a year this month that "All Classical" group was converted from a general classical music group to a "primarily" classical music group! Wasn't easy, but from a core of 125 retained members, and careful selection of prospective members, our goal has been met! Sincere thanks to all who aided in the task and now may enjoy the fruits of their labor! Well Done!

to the remaining pending members : i'm still waiting for your charts to become more clear and, in some cases, for you to actually play a single track. lol. a lot of rejections today! :/ at least most of them were very easy decisions. i mean, if there is not a single classical composer in your history, what are you even doing here?

from my facebook status today : Today is the anniversary of Mozart's death. He's been my favorite composer for the entire 8+ years I've been listening to classical, and I can't adequately express how much his music has meant to me and enriched my life. Mozart died very young at age 35, yet over 200 hours of his music still survives. If those numbers don't blow you away, you should check out my comments below... Mozart lived to be only *35 years old* and well over 600 of his works (200+ hours of music) have survived. Yup. He composed over *8 days* of music. .. and that doesn't even include the countless works that have been lost! To put this into perspective, take 10 of your favorite bands, add up their entire output, then DOUBLE IT... does it even come close?!? ...and people wonder how I can "only" listen to classical music. LOL! Hell, he's not even the most prolific composer out there! ...but he is, imo, the best. ♥

this station has been sounding GREAT for over 2 years now! non-classical tracks are extremely rare and the classical has been of high quality. looks like having listener qualifications has worked out!

thanks to those who have "self-moderated" and left the group if they have stopped or cut back drastically on listening to classical music. that makes my job a lot easier! it's not that i like anyone to leave the group, but the goal is classical radio here.

hey guys, i just wanted to let everyone know that spamming the journal, etc. with things unrelated to classical will lead to either a warning or a ban, depending on perceived intent. we haven't had many problems here, but i just ran into one now. thanks all!

sadly, only one of the 17 pending members made the cut. i don't like rejecting applications, but this group is not for everyone. feel free to join the main Classical group here!

hi, all pending members! i just went through all applications and whoever is left RIGHT NOW (07.11.2009 @ 4:45am) will soon be receiving either an apologetic rejection letter or an apologetic acceptance letter (for the delay). :) i just didn't have time right now to go through the more enigmatic profiles. i'll be back soon!

this is the first time in a while i've listened to anything through my computer, let alone a station... but the All Classical radio, at least for the past 3 hours or so, has been unbelievable! i think i've banned only one track in all that time! bravo! all that work finally has pay off. lemme take this time to thank gamester again for all the work he has done in here. although he is semi-retired from all classical, he really did the heavy lifting to get this place into shape. oh ya, thanks to those who understood what this group was about and voluntarily left or created classical only accounts when faced with a boot. :) it wasn't fun to do, but imo, it was definitely worth it. what has everyone else thought?
