Last.fm Presents is heading to New York City to showcase rising talent from our Hype Charts each month. On 24th February Amen Dunes, Quilt and Friend Roulette will be taking over Dominion for a night of live music. If you get there early you’ll be able to witness Mike Wexler showcase his debut album Dispossession. Head the event page now and mark your attendance.

Snow Patrol return with their sixth studio album, Fallen Empires. For recording they headed to Los Angeles & Malibu, CA for a totally different scenery dedicating 18 months to the making of this record. Watch three brand new songs done in our studio from Gary Lightbody, Johnny McDaid and Nathan Connolly, as well as our chat with Gary.

The Drums returned to our studio a little over a year since their initial session with Last.fm Presents. This time around the quirky indie-pop band has a new album to spotlight, Portamento. New faces in the band include Myles Matheny (bass/guitar/backing vocals).

The Wombats have come back with a smashing sophomore album in the form of This Modern Glitch. Working on this through 2009 with the exception of a few festival appearances here and there they have been all about the album. Murph, Tord and Dan stopped by the NYC studio recently for a session. Last week Last.fm Presents took to the stage at The O2 for the December Sessions, warming up the crowds with four acts plucked from the Hype Charts.
