Yakbone is based in London and has a long history of playing in bands (The Desired/Stabilizer/Solomon - early Duke Spirit), years of silence ( ), years of recording, re-recording.

Yakbone performs dark, creaky, instrumental, psychedelic and minimalist music.

To date Yakbone has released: Closer Still Recordings Volume One and Closer Still Recordings Volume Two, both available from the bands website: yakbone.com

The debut album Silence In The Victorian Cellar was released in 2011.

The album was recorded over a number of years at Closer Still Studios in London.

Purely instrumental, with the odd cat purr, the album exudes a world of melody and noise with a lot of lovely organic sounds.

One track has already been used in a short film by director Robert Kelly. “Country Hallway” was used as the title music to his film “30 Seconds”
