Hi moberg I have placed in the download area of our site two Brighton Beach Mixes the 2nd and 3rd wave these have a "lounge" feel to them along with a definite seaside theme that one can listen to during the day. The beats vary from slow to fast and will vary from mix to mix. They have and will be put together in such a way that it doesn't matter which Brighton Beach mix you wish to listen to you will always be able to follow it with another Brighton Beach mix so that there is not such a drastic change in atmosphere. There are at present only two new Brighton Beach mixes but more in this style are in the pipeline Ethni-City CD12 will be on public release in the 22nd of this month This along with a new series of mixes with a new theme starting next month should keep your ears happy for a while

Ambient Nights will be redesigning their site during the next three months and moving hosting agent to a European based server there may be a day or two downtime while this is in process once up and running there will be more mixes available to download. Downloads will be as always free for all and directly from the site however registration will be necessary to be able to access the download area. Thank you to all for your continued support and all of us at the Ambient Nights Project wish you a good year. Best Regards Alex

Ambient Nights have changed the way we deliver our mixes to you. from now on all mixes will be available by direct download on our website and can be accessed from this address http://www.ambient-nights.org This means that sadly our torrent tracker has now been taken offline. My apologies to all who were in the middle of downloading Mixes using this method.

Brighton Beach will be the main theme for a series of mixes that will continue to be released. As you have no doubt noticed there are some themes that I have featured and each has its own category heading ie Ethni-City, Sol System. So, whenever you see that a new Brighton Beach Mix has been released you will know that this has a definite style and feel to it. the titles will be the same only the "Wave" number will change. As previously mentioned I cannot put a definite date on when the mix will be released but rest assured I never forget [I have over 20 folders ear-marked for mixes] some have been sitting there for over a year waiting for additional tracks. I hope this will not be the case for the 2nd Brighton Beach release.

Strange you should mention the whole weekend feel idea moberg :) . earlier on, actually very early on i put out a mix called Brighton Beach and have for sometime now been organising tracks which will reflect not only the warmth that can be found in my city with regards the weather but also the people who live there. I Love Brighton and I can Honestly say I haven't found another city [and I have been to quite a few] that is remotely comparable to what this city has to offer [People who have visited Brighton will know what I am talking about] anyway I digress, the folder is slowly filling and already some of the tracks have been mapped out on my mixer and a plan is forming. hopefully soon I shall be able to compile a mix that is slightly up-tempo in places definitely with a warm summer feel title is already set in stone Ambient Nights - Brighton Beach [The Second Wave]. Unfortunately I cannot say when this will be released because I am still in the process of organising more tracks

You're most welcome Alex! I keep coming back to Ambient Nights over and over, i'ts just perfect when I want to relax, usually at night. Though I have been thinking, and wondering; wouldn't you be interested in making an Ambient Mornings series, for those saturday and sunday mornings when you need to wake up calmly, preferably with a nice cup of tea or coffe in your hands. Seems like a great idea to me! :) Take care!

Hi Mithris We tag the files with the Ambient Nights website address so that our listeners know where to go so i suppose this would be the right tag for the files :)

Yes- my apologies for the misspeak - I donated towards the costs of maintaining the site, and enjoy the access to additional content & features that you're kind enough to provide those who support the continued existence of the project. I edited the ID3 tags for some of them (for some reason.. you got me) a while back, and rather than re-download them all just wanted to check and fix them for proper scrobbling - thanks for the notes. I love Chill Surrounding... heading to download Continuous Harmony now!

Hi DMBpride VIP Donations are used to help cover the costs of the huge amount of bandwidth we use with the free streaming service we offer and to keep the site running it would be improper to charge anything for the mixes. everyone who has anything to do with the site is a volunteer :) all of the mixes are tagged. artists are tagged as Various composers are tagged as various the rest is tagged in the order of the title ie [Sol System] [Ethni-City] if you have a basic id3 tagging program you should be able to see this by opening the music file up. lastfm i believe does this automatically if you wish to add artists you may find a list of all the artists featured on any ambient nights mix at our site hope this is of help to you

Alex- I've been a long time fan and obviously pay for the VIP tracks :D Thanks for the hours of ambient enjoyment. Quick question, how should the ID3 tags be for the various series and what not, in order to scrobble properly? ie- should track title for [Sol System] Earth be something like that? Also- should artist be your name or ambient-nights.org? Thanks!
