In your face from the first beat, Within the Ruins is an unrelenting machine of energy. They combine technical skill with melody and massive tone to form the strength behind their sound. This makes a tight, brutal band in the vein of Western Massachusetts Killswitch Engage and All That Remains.
By reputation alone, Within the Ruins was selected by producer That Paul Guy to be part of his audio resume. Because of this, they got to record Driven By Fear, for essentially no cost. They will use this recording to back up the 50+ shows they played this year in New England.

Within the Ruins represents an energetic youth that works hard to make their musical dreams come true. At whatever cost, they will continue for many more albums and many more years of touring.
