Attention all: there are several things going on here, as well at least two Wickers going on as well, albeit with varying capitalization.
1) Somebody just wrote this: While the three personalities that compose wicker would fit perfectly into a Hollywood “it” kid category, the music that they create is decidedly without definition. Composed of straight lyricism and huge choruses all set to the backdrop of addictively dance oriented party music; Max Nash and Troy Spino initially set out to form an acoustic rock act to perform at friends parties that they could include their myriad of acquaintances in. The genesis of their project shifted gears when they met After Midnight Project front man and Universal/Motown recording artist Jason Evigan who helped transition the band from acoustic hip hop act to a larger than life blowout event that keeps the booze flowing and the bodies jumping via his unorthodox production style. Tyler Stone added his drumming flare after the three came together at Musicians Institute and solidified the lineup.
2) Before somebody wrote that, somebody wrote this: WICKER is not to be confused with wicker, a Memphis punk band.
WICKER, however, is a nineteen-year-old boy who spends far too much time appropriating his friends’ instruments (and occasionally his friends) in order to bend them to his despotic will. After a brief stint in late middle school and early high school working cooperatively — which resulted in an explosion of inane and mysterious bands, all of which had their own MySpaces — he has since moved on to solo work, most of which is oddly rhythmic, occasionally ethereal, and often sounds like a movie soundtrack. He is not T.S. Eliot.
