To The Boats…! are a four-headed rock band from London, UK. they hang out at http://www.totheboats.co.uk.
They play a mix of various styles of rock music, influenced by post-hardcore, folk, and progressive and post rock, and indie. Their first album, titled ‘Bruised Pilgrim’, will be released this september on Ex-Libris records.
The project was initially formed to take the home-recorded songs of grilly into live spaces, to which end he recruited guitarist, Ian, and drummer, Corey. With Sam on bass and Ruth on keyboards, the completed the line up as bruised pilgrim began rehearsing in January 2008, although Ruth left midway through the year. The slimmed down quartet recorded an album comprised of revised versions of Grilly’s songs and new material in October 2008, at which point Sam left the band to peruse a solo career in berlin and was subsequently replaced in November by Alex, formerly of Kefranski.
