Themish is Michal Stolba, a music producer based in the Czech Republic, who being a computer science student and AI researcher started to produce and create music about five years ago. Just for the joy of it.
He absorbes a wide range of influences, making his every album different from the others. Starting with ‘Where is da jazz?’ inspired by jazz remixers such as Foolcut http://www.last.fm/music/+noredirect/Foolcut, he continued with ‘The Uneasy Dreams of a Voyager’ inspired by soundtrack, mystic and world music, particularily Dead can Dance http://www.last.fm/music/Dead+Can+Dance. Recently he continues to follow those two directions in a new jazzy album ‘slow -> down’ and in epic album ‘War is Never Holy’. ‘War is Never Holy’ the last album he will publis under his creative alter-ego ‘themish’ which he has abandoned in favor of his new inspired self ‘michasto’, striving for better and more professional sound while sustaining his creativity, playfullness and wild range of styles.
