The Resonance Association was formed in 2006 by guitarist Dominic Hemy and multi-instrumentalist/producer Daniel Vincent.
Their music features heavy drone guitars (reminiscent of bands such as Sunn O))) and early Earth), electronic rhythms and textures, and emotive guitar solos. These guitar solos, coupled with the duo’s preference for longer songs has lead to them being compared to modern progressive rock acts such as Porcupine Tree and OSI, although they often work outside the progressive rock canon: they have collaborated with post-industrial goth band History of Guns on a number of tracks and remixes.
The duo have released 2 albums as well as a number of EPs, both via mrs.vee recordings and Burning Shed.

The first four EPs each contained four songs each, the “Volumes” being the main releases and the “Appendices” containing live or unused tracks.
The Northern Coastline Soundtrack promo was produced for the Whitby Gothic Weekend of April 2007, and contains five new tracks and three remixes.
The Grand Design EP was compiled to coincide with the band’s full length debut, Failure Of The Grand Design, which was released through art-rock label Burning Shed in October 2007.
The duo have also performed live regularly throughout their partnership. In a live environment many of the instruments are sampled, whilst improvised guitars and synthesisers are played.
