Biography
The Recess are Dj Duo Johnny & Rich. They’ve been working together since early 2006 throwing parties and dancefloor shapes all over Brighton, UK.
Having firmly secured their individual musical styles they set about spreading The Recess sound to a wider audience Via their Internet Radio show and Podcast.
Playing an eclectic mix of Disco/Nu Disco/Re-edits/Friendly Electro & Balearic treats, their selections remain interesting and their enthusiasm is infectious…
Their musical selections are influenced by prince, 80’s new wave, classic disco, giorgio moroder & italo disco sounds, anything to do with space travel, elephants and dancing girls, DFA records disco cuts, Cruisy nu disco thats make you go mmmmmmmm & anything with cowbells in!
They also have regular special guests which have included Pete Herbert & Dicky Trisco & MAELSTROM and regularly showcase their musical tangents at 100Below Basement disco parties…www.myspace.com/100below
And at the yearly GO BANG Disco festival which runs throughout May around Brighton.
