Papertiger Sound is a transatlantic project created in 2006 by Dan Gelder who is from England’s Eastern shore. Hailing from the Eastern shores of Canada, Kerstin Wilson later joined when both Dan and Kerstin were living in Leeds later that year. They now function as a long distance duo and occasionally get together for tea and a chat.

They are currently travelling from here to there, taking pictures, filming things, and recording new music. Occasionally they talk to each other. Sometimes they write letters.

The first release was a homemade CD named ‘Broken Chords’ in 2006. Then came the album ‘Fujipop’, a collection of songs released through Myspace between 2006 and 2007. Their next release was was the EP ‘This Is How It Ends’, released on the Egress label in October 2008. Prior to the Egress release, a very small quantity was pressed onto CD and came in numbered handmade packaging by Dan. In December 2008 the song ‘Green’ from the ‘This is How It Ends’ ep wasreleased by the Shifty Disco record label as a download only single.

March 2009 marked the release of the free EP, “Tiny Robot Love” on the duo’s own label, Auteur Recordings. The mini-album, “The Last Days Are Taking Forever” was released via Hungry Audio in May. Their full-length album, “Atlantic Wires” was released February 26th, 2010, and the ep ‘Everything Matters’ was released October 2010.
