Melbourne, Australia (1986 – present)

The Jordans Play is an indie rock band formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1986. For many years known simply as The Jordans, the band has always revolved around the songwriter and singer, Adam Dennis, also known as a.d.

a.d. was a collaborator with The Sugargliders for much of their career, before moving on with the rest of the band to become a founding member of The Steinbecks in the early 90’s.

As The Jordans, the band has released two long-play albums: ‘Katydid’ in 1997 on Sonorama Records, and 2001’s ‘The Hallelujah Mine’ on the Consonant label. Over the years countless other tracks have appeared on compilations from the UK, Japan, Germany and the USA.

A third album is due for release soon. ‘Small Things @ LightSpeed’ presents a coherent, edgy and sometimes poetic view into the heart of The Jordans Play. Nearly simultaneous will be a solo release from a.d. under his own name. Entitled ‘F-35’, it’s dedicated to his acoustic guitar. Recorded as simply as possible, the tracks are allowed to live and breathe without interference. Some sweet moments.
